DENCIK LARS: the fabrication of identity *
social affiliations, more or less inherited, which are traditionally ascribed to individuals as a definition of identity - race, (...) genre, country or place of birth, family and social class - are now (...) becoming less important, diluted and altered, in the most technologically advanced. At the same time there is a strong desire and attempts to find or establish new groups that can give members a sense of belonging and facilitate the production of an identity. The result is a growing feeling of insecurity.
